Illusions and symbols project (Part 1/3)

For one of my 3rd year classes part of our project was to create 3 symbol design;

- one done with type

- one done with illustration/shapes

- one creating an illusion

It was WAY harder then what I had originally thought it was going to be...

This was the sketch for the illustration design. At first look it should just look like a branch with some flowers and butterflies surrounding it but at closer inspection you should be able to see 3 animals in the negative spaces... a lizard, a bird and a rabbit.

I scanned it and traced around it using the pen tool in Illustrator then opened it up in Photoshop and coloured it.
